What would your life look like? What could you focus your energy and heart on? How would your social life, intimate relationships, physical, mental and emotional worlds benefit?
Negative body relationships affect women of all ages, sizes, and walks of life. This suffocates your potential to live a full life!
And I’ve been there. I was bulimic for many years and lived with a constant anxiety around food and my body for many more years after that. One day, I decided enough was enough. I can now say I have done what I would have deemed impossible for most of my life, which is that I have made peace with my body.
I want other women to know just how possible this is!
Body insecurity is a topic many women don’t feel they can talk honestly about for many reasons and you may feel alone in your struggles. I assure you that you are not! Talking openly is transformative. Sharing our vulnerabilities is not only a brave, empowering thing to do, it also inspires others.
So what does working together look like?
Over the course of 12 weeks, we get together once a fortnight for a chat. During these chats, we talk about anything that you may want to improve in regards to your body relationship and overall wellness. Everything is connected and many things will come into the picture.
Once the discussion is started, it allows for clarity. Sometimes all it takes is to say something out loud to realise that certain thoughts are not based in truth or too see just how much of a problem it actually is for you. Then we can do something about it together. What we do varies a bit from client to client but will involve gentle, new habit formation, positive associations, getting outside your comfort zone a bit and having a sense of humour! We take ourselves way too seriously at times and learning to have a laugh can be very transformative.
The bottom line is that spending so much of your energy on hating anything about your body is a complete waste of your one precious life.
